Mommy & Me! to spotlight deserving web sites

Web sites that bless women and uplift children or families deserve recognition and encouragement -- all the more if they honor the God of the Bible. There are a few bright spots on the dark Internet, and our society desperately needs more. Mommy & Me! thus seeks to salute such sites with separate honors:

Award of Honor is for web sites that help, bless or encourage women, especially mothers dedicated to raising Godly children. The ideal candidate will honor God and reflect His love, grace and mercy, but the main criteria is helping women in confusing matters and through tough times.
"We're looking for women's sites that are making a difference," says Mommy & Me Director Ellen Weller.

Society seems to look down on women who strive to be "homemakers" and build the righteous morals and virtues into our leaders of tomorrow, belittling stay-at-home mothers' value and diminishing their self esteem. "Godly mothers and women who seek to walk with the Lord these days need all the help and encouragement we can give them," Ellen says. "We welcome nominations of sites that help women be successful."

Family Award is for sites that help, bless or encourage children or families, especially those that honor the God of the Bible. The ideal candidate will offer Christian family fun and information -- G-rated, wholesome and uplifting entertainment or encouragement. Sites also will be considered that offer help or assistance to families or children.
"We're looking for web sites that provide safe, Godly, positive places for children and family members to enjoy themselves or fulfill their needs online," Ellen says.
